First there was the coupon and then came Group Buying which has recently hit the Internet in a massive wave over the past two years. The question on everyone’s lips is, “What’s next?”

Andrew Gold has the answer to this question with the launch of his new website, Treet.me, set to launch in April 2012. Gold, who has worked in the IT industry for 17 years, has “always had a niggling itch to create a website and it’s now the time to scratch it”.

Google Plus Slows Down

Amidst a handful of conflicting reports is a growing interest in the popularity of Google’s recently released social project, Google+. According to comScore, Google+ has reached 25 million visits across the globe since its launch on 28 June 2011 with the majority based in the United States. Both Hitwise and Chitika have reported that the new platform has seen a considerable decline towards the latter portion of July, as has Google Buzz. In the meantime Google+ continues to evolve and refine its features.

Multiple Calls With Gmail

Yet another feature for Gmail has recently been added – an option to make or take multiple calls simultaneously. Following in the footprints of Gmail chat, the ability to make calls through Google powered email and Google Voice, the new feature allows users to place a caller “on hold” by means of a pause button. Those with a Google Voice phone number can also now answer incoming calls, putting them on hold, without disconnecting from the active call.

Microsoft Tulalip

Rumour has it that Microsoft of planning a new hybrid search / social networking service called Tulalip which currently sits on the SOCL.com domain. Microsoft aren’t giving away too much at this stage but it is the general assumption that this new project will be launched as direct competition to the recently launched Google+. Google Chrome with Real-Time Chat

Google's Chrome browser is set to receive support for a variety of real-time video and audio chat programmes which are buolt using simple HTML and JavaScript API's following the purchase of WebRTC software last year. Loopt U-Deals for Local Business

Loopt has announced a new product called U-Deals, aimed at getting you, the consumer to create a deal, inclusive of a discount, and then use the the company as a means of turning the deal into a reality. This is done by sharing the proposed deal with as many people as you wish in order to entice them to sign up. Facebooks Business Ideas

Having partnered themselves with Amazon and with the acquiring of more staff, social networking site, Facebook is set add music to their list of multi billion dollar industry endeavours. Giga Om has revealed that this new social music service will feature a music tab on a users' Facebook homepage which will be liked to a 'music dashboard' where your own as well as what your friends are listening to will be listed. Skype Integrates Facebook

Skype's beta version 5.5, desktop software for Windows now features even more extras for Facebook making cross platform messaging more seemless and user friendly. Users can now instant message their Facebook friends via Skype, "like" and comment on status updates, as well as view their contacts without even having to log in to the social networking site.
