We're constantly on the move and constantly communicating. The most tech savvy dude will testify to carrying around a tablet, a notebook and a smartphone. It's a mission for most of us to carry around so much tech though. We want a tablet, but it's such a mission to lug the thing around. Most of us will have a cellphone but we want the awesome features that tablets offer.

It's a smartphone, no wait, it's a tablet... it's Samsung's new Galaxy Note. The Note is here to save the day for all you tech junkies. What the Note offers is a 5.3" super AMOLED screen with awesome tablet features and a smartphone all in one sexy package. If you're tech conscious you will definitely want to be seen with one of these babies.

The Note features a 1.4Ghz dual core processor and 1gig of ram which makes it lightning fast! This little gadget runs Gingerbread Android which is the best version of Android currently available. Sitting inside the phone is either a 16gb or 32gb memory card depending on the model. Camera wise, the Note is capable of taking stunning 8mp photos with HD video recording in 1080p.

Cosmetically the Note looks beautiful and the screen is built with Gorilla glass as is the case with the Samsung Galaxy 1 and Galaxy II.

Samsung has made a bold move by bringing the stylus back, the new S-Pen fits snuggly in the bottom of the Note and there tons of apps purposely built for the Note and the S-Pen. Writing notes is a cinch and drawing becomes fun again with the Note.

A few cons: Using it as an actual phone gets a bit tough due to the size of the gadget. The stylus pen is a bit small.

A few pros: Large screen, thin and light design, lightning fast.

All in all, the Note is fantastic and tech junkies will be lining up to buy it. The cost in South Africa is roughly R9000 but you can get it on contract at the various service providers.
